History: Frontenac Gris is a pink-berried mutation of the red Frontenac grape, first observed in 1992 by Peter Hemstad at the University of Minnesota's Horticulture Research Center. It was officially released in 2003 and has since become popular among cold-climate grape growers and winemakers for its resilience and versatility.
Appearance: Pinkish-gray (gris) berries forming loose, medium-sized, conical clusters.
